Celegence Co-Founder Sonia Veluchamy Named Among Crain’s Chicago Business’ Notable Leaders in Health Care Technology 2025

Celegence is proud to announce that its Co-Founder and CEO, Sonia Veluchamy, has been recognized by Crain’s Chicago Business as one of the Notable Leaders in Health Care Technology for 2025.

This year’s honorees include 27 executives, founders, and advisers who are advancing digital tools and data-driven solutions that are reshaping how health care is delivered, managed, and accessed. Their work spans artificial intelligence, telehealth, clinical research, and cost-management technologies—supporting hospitals, providers, and patients while improving outcomes nationwide.

Sonia co-founded Celegence in 2017 to help life sciences organizations bridge the gap between regulatory intelligence and operational compliance. Under her leadership, the company has grown to more than 175 employees worldwide and partnered with over 100 pharmaceutical and medical device firms. Celegence combines regulatory expertise, automation, and AI to streamline compliance processes—achieving consistent revenue growth since inception. In 2024, Celegence’s AI platform CAPTIS® received the Innovation Award from The Organisation for Professionals in Regulatory Affairs (TOPRA) for improving efficiency and accuracy in regulatory submissions.

With nearly 15 years in life sciences technology, Sonia previously led ArisGlobal’s operations, expanding its global customer base to 30 of the top 50 pharmaceutical companies. She serves on the boards of Commit2Change and Soterius and is a member of the Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO).

“It’s an honor to be recognized alongside such an inspiring group of leaders who are using technology to drive better health outcomes,” said Sonia. “This recognition reflects the dedication of our entire Celegence team and our shared commitment to advancing innovation in regulatory compliance.”
